The interpretation of the dream began to come the next day. I knew that the Fire was the refining fire of Jesus Christ, but now I had a greater understanding that it is at work in the Church today, in preparation for His soon return: “But who may abide the day of His coming? And who shall stand when He appeareth? For He is like a refiner's fire, and like fullers' soap: and He shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and He shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the Lord an offering in righteousness” (Mal. 3:2-3).
In that in the dream I saw a measure of the Glory of the Lord in the Fire, I rejoiced to find my experience similar to one that occurred in real life to the children of Israel as told in Exodus 24:17, "The sight of the glory of the Lord was like a consuming Fire on the top of the mountain in the eyes of the children of Israel." This Scripture exactly describes what I saw and felt in the dream.
The transparency in the higher reaches of the fire pictured the total pureness of God to the end that His people become transparent also (pure), like Him: “But as he which has called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy" (1 Peter 1:15).
The road was the highway for God's people: “A highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The Holy Way. The unclean shall not pass over it but it shall be for the redeemed” (Isaiah 35:8 AMP). The secondary road with the fire signified there was no way of detouring around God's fire on the Highway of Holiness. If one is going to stay on it, they will go through the fire!
The house on the mountainside represented the church whose members were not taking part in the cleansing power of the Blood of Jesus. Neither was the Holy Spirit at work creating new wineskins in the people for present truth ministry, leaving them empty and cold. The handwritten notice I was posting on the front of the house was a (condemnation notice) about the church meetings taking place there. This signified that the house was unsafe for spiritual habitation, much like an unsafe deteriorating house in the natural would be posted because of the danger of its collapse.
I prayed for understanding of the 50's automobiles and felt that they represented churches which were on the Highway of Holiness but clinging to traditions of the past. Why were they wildly fleeing God's fire in terror, one racing off the road into disaster, and the other headed for a similar fate? I felt the Lord was showing that many of His people were clinging to traditions of the past and succumbing to the enemy's fear of serving Him in Holiness and newness of purpose. Therefore they were losing their soundness of mind and self-control in this matter: “For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love and of a sound mind” (2 Tim. 1:7). As a result, they were trying to escape the Baptism of Fire which Jesus came to give (Luke 3:16), and disallowing His will for their lives. The Lord was showing that this can lead to a falling away from His Way into wreckage of His plans and purposes for their lives and destiny.
If you are having struggles with any or all of the concerns the Lord has raised in this dream and message please receive our prayer now: Lord Jesus, I hereby pray for this one and all who may be in the same position as those in the mountainside house and/or fleeing cars that I saw in the dream, or any other issues addressed in Your message. Pour out Your Spirit upon them I pray so that they may "taste and see that the Lord is good"(Psalm 34:8), and experience "Your mercy which endures forever" (Psalm 106:1). Let revival begin Lord, let revival begin!
